Taking on fuel. The refueling drogue trails behind and below the C-130 wing. After "contact", (connecting the H-3 refueling probe to the drogue) , the helicopter is positioned up and directly behind the C-130 wing. This location puts the helicopter in a "drafting" position and greatly reduces the power requirement. You could really feel the acceleration. You could do over 110 knots+ on a single engine.
